I am writing regarding the main modification consultation of North Herts Local Plan's for 2100 houses around Cockernhoe and Country view.
Residents of Hertfordshire are being advised that these houses are necessary for the unmet housing need of Luton.
There has been a lot of work done by local residents recently particularly Reg Norgan , David Doorman and Carolyn Cottier on whether this really is the case. I believe they have also written to you with their figures which show that this is not the case.
Luton is currently building houses and flats in Napier Park as well as other areas, which accommodates their need.
There is no longer an unmet need for Luton, therefore North Herts should not be looking at these precious green belts areas for development for Luton.
The noise population is something that has already been raised in my previous letters of objection as well as the wildlife preservation.
The lack of infrastructure, particularly by way of roads to Luton and the motorway I have previously mentioned too. It is already dreadful without these 2100 houses.
I hope that North Herts will for once and all stop this idea of building houses in this area and allow residents of Luton and North Herts to enjoy this beautiful countryside, especially when Luton does not have an unmet need for houses.
