I believe the application should be refused as these houses are tantamount
to building a new town, but without any of the amenities or road structure
to support it, therefore inflicting this all on to the Eastern communities of Luton.
It is well known that these houses are for Luton's benefit stock wise, and that
they do not care about the problems they will cause in East Luton.
They are already using the "gridlock" these houses will cause, as an excuse to
build their Terminal 2 Access Road around Luton Airport.
They chose to site this housing development as the core need for this road,
deliberately forgetting the 12 million passengers they plan for their site.
The only employment sites for these houses are in, or through the East of Luton.
The only schooling for these houses is in the East of Luton.
The only medical and retail facilities for these houses are in the East of Luton.
East Luton is creaking at the seams already, it does not need these houses
making it more intolerable to live in, despite Luton Borough Council telling
you lies that there is plenty of scope to absorb these homes.
Luton is full, we cannot absorb any more people or housing, what ever
the perceived needs may be.
We in East Luton already have the spectre of an unwanted airport expansion
on our doorstep, which we will be paying for decades to come.
By building these houses knowingly in an area which will also be massively
affected by this airport expansion, you will place yourself liable to future
civil legal actions by the residents of those houses, by knowingly approving
a development that you knew would be affected by airport expansion
pollution and congestion, and there being no answer to alleviating or stopping it.
Please accept this as my letter of objection.
