Proposed Main Modifications

I am writing to object to the proposed North Herts housing plan changes.

I note that BA3 now has the whole area of open space between Clothall Common and the Royston Road roundabout as housing land. NHDC has already proposed almost 300 homes next to Clothall Common. I believe that allocating this land to more homes is completely unsuitable, and means we would lose what little remaining open space was left, leaving a growing number of residents with minimal areas for walking, cycling and general recreation.
Baldock is already congested, despite the bypass being built, and the initial plan for additional homes would have put a further strain on the local area. To add further homes in a space previously built to protect Clothall Common residents from the bypass on a man made hill is unfair, impractical and will completely enclose the local residents, cutting us off from direct access to open countryside.
