Local Plan 2011-2031 Proposed Submission Draft

There are not enough football facility's in Baldock, the only facility's available are The Arena & The Knights Templar Sports centre, which are both dominated by youth teams from all around Hertfordshire. The lack of full size grass pitches in Baldock has lead to Baldock Town playing away from Baldock for 3+years, even local pub & Sunday league teams have to play in neighbouring towns & Villages. Baldock Town Youth & seniors can't grow or develop if they are forced to play in Letchworth or Stotfold, there suppose to be 'local' teams but they aren't all because of the lack of football facility's. Bringing the club back to Baldock will also bring money to other local business.
