Received: 27/11/2016
Respondent: Ms Claire Neesham
Legally compliant? Yes
Sound? No
Duty to co-operate? Yes
Object to KB1: Infrastructure (schools, community clubs), flooding
There's insufficient infrastructure to support additional housing in this area; the schools right down to Oaklands are already oversubscribed; people wait years to get their children into groups such as the clubs, brownies and Knebworth football team. Also the field floods on a regular basis.

KB4 Land east of Knebworth
Representation ID: 1046
Received: 27/11/2016
Respondent: Ms Claire Neesham
Legally compliant? Yes
Sound? No
Duty to co-operate? No
Objection to KB4 on the grounds of:
- the recreation ground would be boxed in by development
- Knebworth would lose view from its main green space
- when football matches are being played the field due for development provides an alternative venue for walking dogs or running.
- brings Knebwoth development closer to Stevenage (at Bragbury End) reducing the separation currently enforced by the green belt.
This would mean the recreation ground would be boxed in by development; Knebworth would lose view from its main green space; when football matches are being played the field due for development provides an alternative venue for walking dogs or running. This also brings Knebwoth development closer to Stevenage (at Bragbury End) reducing the separation currently enforced by the green belt.

Object to the change of settlement boundaries around category A villages because this is a clumsy attack on the long-standing green belt area of Hertfordshire. No exceptional circumstance has been demonstrated.

I strongly support the green belt principle and believe that there is no exceptional circumstance demonstrated to justify changing the existing established boundaries.

Policy SP7: Infrastructure Requirements and Developer Contributions
Representation ID: 1049
Received: 27/11/2016
Respondent: Ms Claire Neesham
Support SP7: requirement that builders and developers should finance infrastructure.
I support the requirement that builders and developers should finance infrastructure. This should include additional primary and secondary school provision; additional recreation park with play equipment; green spaces around any new development; mature trees; shops; buses; cafes; another pub or bar; facilities for teenagers; and another community space because current community halls are oversubscribed. Also: each home should have its own green space or garden in order to comply with recent initiatives to stop the concreting over of personal space.
Also require adequate broadband.

Policy SP1: Sustainable Development in North Hertfordshire
Representation ID: 1073
Received: 27/11/2016
Respondent: Ms Claire Neesham
I support the notion that development should be sustainable.
With particular respect to Knebworth there are insufficient park and green spaces; the railway is running to capacity and cannot be expanded without upgrading the viaduct at Digswell; people are already parking up to half a mile from the station causing inconvenience to local residents and to anybody trying to use the residential streets; Deards End lane is a conservation area and is unsuitable for commercial traffic; the listed railway bridge over the East Coast main line has a weight limit.
