Object on the following grounds:
there are insufficient areas to play football; and
there is a need to provide more facilities to accommodate additional players from the new development.
Currently the children off our Town do not have enough areas to play football and this is only going to get worse when 3,500 houses are built in Baldock. The Youth team already have over 300 children (boys and girls) playing for them and this is only going to double when the new houses are built. Unless Baldock have more facilities built to accommodate the extra players then we will only see more children stuck at home playing on consoles and watching TV as the youth team will not be able to take on any more children.
