Wallington Neighbourhood Plan 2022 - 2031 Submission Version June 2023

Representation ID: 10335

Received: 18/07/2023

Respondent: Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust

Representation Summary:

The policy is really good and HMWT are very pleased to see it. It could be improved by adding another element to ensure wildlife that requires opportunities in the urban environment for breeding are also accommodated. Several other Neighbourhood and Local Plans have included this simple but very effective policy. Suggested policy is:

'All suitable new buildings must include a minimum of 1 integrated swift box, 1 integrated bat box and hedgehog highways incorporated into gardens.'
