Representation Summary:

Objection to RY10:
- traffic flow on and off the site and the surounding area.
- access needs to be direct from the A505 not Newmarket Road (same as RY2) - there is sufficient land to do this

Full text:

Royston Town Council objects to the development of this site with the boundaries as shown because it has concerns over traffic flows and safety, the proposal only allows for vehicle access off Newmarket Road which will be dangerous and cause considerable congestion.
The Newmarket Road /A505 junction is dangerous and there have been many traffic accidents here already.
There is no access on to Newmarket Road from the westward direction of the A505 therefore, all traffic would have to go through the town causing further congestion at the A10 /Melbourn St roundabout.

In RY2 land north of Newmarket Road it states a new access is created directly from the A505 and not Newmarket Road, it should be the same for this development. There is sufficent adjacent land which could provide access from the A505.
