I note that Equestrians have not been mentioned.
Horse Riders and Horse Drawn Carriage Drivers are classified as Vulnerable Road users by the government so should be included.
According to the DEFRA Equine Passport Agency there are about 1,757 horses kept within the same Postcodes as Barkway and Nuthampstead. It is estimated that each horse contributes £5,000 to the local economy making a contribution of about £8,785,000.
It is important that Horse Riders and Horse Drawn Carriage Drivers can safely exercise their horses on the local roads and that they also have access to circular off-road Bridleways and Restricted Byways.
