Barkway and Nuthampstead Neighbourhood Plan 2018 - 2031

Hertfordshire Gardens Trust is concerned about the inclusion of site BK3 in the NHLP and thus in this NP. Newsells is a key Richard Woods landscape of the 18th century and this BK3 allocation is within its setting. It would also affect the setting of RPG Cokenach. HGT has done detailed research on both these sites, an produced the walk leaflet referred to in the NP. Although the NP recognises this and seeks to put in mitigation measures, we are still concerned that these two sites - which should be seen as connected for historical reasons as well as landscape reasons - would be harmed by this development within their setting.
