We have no objection to the principle of Charlton’s proposed designation as a Neighbourhood Plan area, but would note that the area identified on the map does not incorporate the whole of Charlton Conservation Area. We would recommend that, if the Designation is considered acceptable in principle by North Hertfordshire District Council, the boundary is adjusted to incorporate that section of the conservation area that is outside the southern extent of the proposed boundary, as well as the listed buildings at Wellhead Farm. This is to ensure a consistent approach to neighbourhood planning policy across these heritage assets.
