In it's current form the point about using facade treatments and materials conflicts with the earlier statements about circular economy.
"It is important for new development to relate to the local heritage and cultural context... Development should conserve and enhance (where appropriate) the significance and setting of local heritage assets and reflect the local vernacular,..., the treatment of facades, materials, and architectural styles."
Suggest that some form of statement like "modern day interpretations to complement the local vernacular are encouraged where they have a demonstrably lower impact over their lifetime."
