To help achieve North Herts net zero targets, development proposals should prioritise circular economic business models, sourcing reused materials or materials with a high recycled content. Developments should aspire to zero waste to landfill, but first maximising opportunities for prevention, reuse or recycling. This can be achieved by working closely with supply chains during the design phase to eliminate wasteful practices.
