Object to LG18:
- Lose of employment land (industrial/commercial)
Again this is further loss of potential industrial sites and encroachment upon the industrial area of the town. As the land backs onto the railway it still seems to be appropriate to keep this as industrial/commercial. The repurposing of the old Power Station on Works Road seems to be well received and a similar outcome might be anticipated for other areas on the Industrial Estate. New office buildings might also be appropriate as there is a lack in Letchworth

Object to LG18: replacing commercial with residential is against garden city principles. There will be increased need for employment with increased population. unsustainable
