The neighbourhood plan area includes a small area of flood zone 2 and 3. In accordance with the NPPF (paragraphs 100-102), the Sequential Test should be applied when allocating sites to ensure development is directed to the areas of lowest flood risk. The Sequential Test should be informed by the Local Planning Authorities Strategic Flood risk Assessment.

Support Policy HD8 as it requires that applicants demonstrate that any impacts on the foul sewerage network can be adequately mitigated.
Also support the requirement to use Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDs) and that the disposal of surface water to public sewerage network will only be considered as a last resort having followed the surface water hierarchy.

Policies in the Submission version of the Local Plan set out the requirements for reducing flood risk when considering development proposals and for the inclusion of sustainable drainage solutions when granting planning permission. The policy does not add any further requirements to the measures already addressed by policies in the Local Plan.
