Wymondley Parish Neighbourhood Plan 2015 - 2031

I support this plan in it's entirety (all pages, not just 1-28). It is a common sense plan, based on the views of the parish residents, and it meets the criteria of the NPPF, and it's core principle of preventing coalescence with neighbouring towns. It seeks to minimise flooding, prevent the worsening of the existing air pollution and to preserve green belt.

I fully support the Wymondley Parish Neighbourhood plan in its entirety, all pages (not just pages 1-28). It is sound, justifiable, positively prepared and meets all requirements of the NPPF. The most important thing about this plan is that it addresses the needs and concerns of the LOCAL population, via a parish resident's survey. The residents clearly state they want no more than 50 houses to be built in the parish, due to the existing serious issues that the parish is already struggling with, namely, flooding, air pollution, lack of adequate road infrastructure, traffic jams, lack of sustainable transport options and also wanting to prevent the coalescence of the village into any of the surrounding towns (Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth), which is the principle reason the green belt was created and this plan to seeks to preserve the green belt, and therefore avoid: increases to the risk of flooding, worsening of the existing very poor air quality, increasing road traffic/exhaust fumes pollution, and more. NHDC should be supporting this plan in it's entirety too, as it is a common sense plan.

Wymondley Parish Neighbourhood Plan 2015 - 2031

Representation ID: 6479

Received: 31/07/2017

Respondent: Stevenage Borough Council

Representation:

A number of general concerns raised:
Stevenage Borough Council being mis-represented in the Consultation Statement;
lack of good quality mapping and proposals map;
plan attempts to address matters that the statutory land use planning system is unable to address;
the plan fails to place the plan area in its broader context;
the plan concerns itself inappropriately with areas outside the Parish; and
most policies are statements of intent and are incapable of being used to determine planning applications.

Wymondley Parish Neighbourhood Plan 2015 - 2031

Representation ID: 6480

Received: 25/07/2017

Respondent: Historic England

Representation:

As the Government's adviser on the historic environment, Historic England is disappointed that this late stage in the process is the first opportunity to review the document.

Welcome the high priority that the draft neighbourhood plan affords conserving and enhancing the historic environment. However, concern that the neighbourhood plan as it stands does not take the opportunity to do so to its full extent, and that it may therefore not achieve the vision the community sets out in the plan's introductory text.

A number of the neighbourhood plan policies are written as statements of intent, rather than policies that can easily be applied when making planning decisions and therefore are considered unclear.
