5.6 Policy KBLE5 Home Working

Further to my earlier email regarding our comments for the Knebworth Neighbourhood Plan I have had a reply from Police Crime Prevention Initiatives Ltd (SBD) regarding security advice around ‘Home Offices’, as I suspected there is no additional advice to be added specifically aimed at home offices due to the portability of IT equipment now. This, therefore, mays it all the more important that new homes are built to the Police preferred minimum security standard that is SBD ‘Silver’ (the old part 2). I would also suggest that residents who are working from home contact the local Police Crime Reduction Department for further advice around household security and Cybercrime.
